Pasticceria Bonifacio sits tucked behind the Ducal Palace, the kind of place gondoliers slip into for value and locals trust for quality. By day it turns out alcohol-laced cakes, buttery cornetti and rich fruit breads; by night, anchovy-topped tartlets and spritzes. I asked the lady behind the counter to choose me a half-dozen of their best – a midnight box of pasticcini: crostata di riso, torta della nonna, tiramisù, torta al cioccolato, ricotta slice, and a bigné. The cannoli were perfection: crisp shell, rich ricotta filling, and that generous pistachio crunch on the ends. Paired with a smooth espresso, it was the perfect start to the day. We also grabbed a pistachio brioche to-go and enjoyed it by the water with a view of the gondolas. The pastries were delicious. We tried almond, chocolate, and one that tasted like pecan pie. We were told later by a local that this is one of the best bakeries in the area.

My favorite bakery in Florence! The pastries and drinks are so delicious and fresh. Every time I visit I make sure to get a couple thing and it’s always affordable. Great staff and my fiancé and I recommend to anyone!

Great selection of pastries and amazing coffee! This is the perfect place to grab breakfast, especially if you’re starting your day near the San Marco Piazza.
The only place to buy a coffee at 6am in Venezia. You can buy a coffee to go and enjoy the main plazt early morning 🥰

An unforgettable experience in Venice. Tiny cakes and perfect coffee. Who could ask for more. One thing that was missing, though, was that there are no chairs, long or short whatsoever. As a result, one has to stand up to savour the food
We stopped here for 2 coffees and some really delicious baked stuff, the staff is super friendly, even gave us some recommendations on where to eat when we asked, the prices were very nice and cheap. Highly recommend this place!!

Amazing pasticceria! We found out this place awhile looking for a good breakfast during our first day in Venice, and went back there again. Everything is super tasty, amazing quality, good price and friendly staff.

Authentic mini pasticceria where you can have coffee and delicious pastries. Very tasty and good quality. Price ok Beware there is only a small place for 2 or 3 to eat inside (standing). No sitting possible

Best macchiato and pastry I had during my whole trip in Italy.
Ate at eight different pasticceria's while in Italy. This was our family's favorite. Filled with locals. Great food, great prices. Great (small) atmosphere.
